Let's go a little more into assembly on this thing. First off, there are no instructions, just an exploded diagram of how all the pieces fit together. Then there is the little issue of the supplied hardware not fitting the description of the hardware on the drawing(the size called out on the drawing doesn't match what they provide in the hardware pack, but it still works). So, here's the assembly tips. First, take out all the bolts and screws and put the like kinds together so you can count each type. Match that up with the relative sizes and numbers and ignore how big they say each one is because they don't match. Next, assemble the side pieces by putting the arm rest on. Pick one side piece and attach, but don't snug up, the bottom cross support P5. Lay both side pieces on their backs so the rockers are pointing up at you (if you have a couple of chairs to use to prop the side pieces up, it helps a lot). Now, attach all the cross support pieces and back piece to the sides, again without fully snugging up so you can fit all into place. A trick on the insert nuts - the bottom of the insert nut has a couple of rows of threads. Use one of the "A" bolts threaded into the bottom to hold the insert in place while you screw the fastening bolt into it. Makes it a whole lot easier. After you have loose fit all the bolts, stand the chair up on the rockers and fit in the seat. Get the seat screws started to hold the seat in place, then tighten all of the side support and back bolts. Finish off by tightening the seat screws. This will cut assembly time down to about 25 minutes. Have fun!

I am 100% pleased with the rocker. For years I had been looking to buy another store's famous double rocker but simply don't have any way to get it home (assembled) and their shipping costs are expensive. When I saw I could get this beautiful-looking rocker [...] I decided to try. The only drawback was where it states online "Assembly is easy" -- I have to disagree with that. There were no step by step instructions, just a diagram with all the nuts/bolts/screws labelled but not clear really on what to do first or what goes where. My Dad is a very experienced handy guy and it took him several times of re-doing what he did when he realized this part actually goes on the other side etc. It took the 2 of us about 1 hour to put together. It is big, heavy and awkward to hold so you definitely need 2 people to assemble. The rocker was packed really well; not a scratch on it when I unwrapped the tape and ties and cushioned pkg. material. It looks beautiful on my front porch and is really comfortable to use. I hope to have it for many many years to come. I would have given this a 5* except for the assembly.
