Designed for outdoor use, the Diamond Lattice Rocking Chair goes through an intense finishing process to ensure it looks like new even after prolonged exposure to the elements. The base coat is applied via electrophoresis, which means that the frame is dipped in a tank of special electrophoretic paint solution while an electric current is run through it. The positively charged paint particles are drawn to the iron both inside and out. Following this, the frame is drip-dried and run through an oven and baked for about 20 minutes at high temperature. After the electrophoresis process, the frame is powder coated and baked a second time for optimal adherence.
