    Easy Assembly

    The chairs do come unassembled. Overall, it took me three hours to fully assemble the chairs. The first chair took a bit more time & created a bit more confusion than the second. After I did the first, the second was a breeze. To properly assemble these chairs, make sure you have a rubber mallet (for a tight fit), extra wood glue (there's some provided, but not nearly enough) and a drill with the appropriate drill bits (it's stated in the instruction manual). When assembling,some of the pieces shifted, especially after putting the arms in, which is one of the last steps. I assume this is normal & I haven't had an issue with it's construction yet. Once complete, you need to let the chair set for 6-8 hours. After that, you'll notice that it creaks a little, I also assume this is normal & it does stop after a while.

    The chairs are very comfortable. Right now, they're in my living room but I intend to bring them to the porch asap. Hopefully they'll hold up to the weather.

    I would recommend these chairs for anyone that wants something affordable & who can assemble furniture.

      I was told that the produce would be delivered BY 26 April. On 25 April, Hayneedle sent an email stating there was a delay and I might get the product by 9 May. TWO weeks AFTER the orignially stated delivery date! Furthermore, Hayneedle sent "recommended" products that were "similar" to the one I bought, that I could purchase instead of waiting for the product I ordered. The "recommended" products weren't even comparable to the product I ordered and they were $100 more for each item. The price of the rocking chairs were not any cheaper than other rocking chairs I had found online, I chose these from Hayneedle for two reasons, Hayneedle provided a positive experience when I ordered from them previously and number 2 the product ordered had a delivery date of 26 April, which beat any other web site. Now, I don't have the rocking chairs that we ordered specifically to tailor to our house guest that are coming in this weekend!

            The rockers were to be used on my front porch; I needed them delivered according to date promised and I was not notified the item was going to be back ordered. I had to call to find this out. Very disappointed. The item should have been listed as a back order item when I placed the order and then I would have been aware of this.

            Service and delivery comments:

            I ordered 2 items; the table and a set of black rocking chairs. The table arrived promptly. I called to check on the chairs today and was told they were on back order and I would not receive them until the last week in April. I was not notified that the chairs were to be back ordered when I placed the order. I needed this item within a timely manner and would not have ordered them if I had been notified of the back order. I will shop for the item somewhere else and if I can get them before your item comes at the end of the month I will call and cancel my order with you. Very disappointed you can't inform your customers when items will not be shipped according to the order because they are back ordered.

              We got two of the rockers for our newly constructed porch. Overall I like the look and feel of the rockers. One kit had a wrong side rail -- we got three with no holes and only one with holes for attaching the seat. It wasn't a big deal and I drilled a piece so it would work. There wasn't nearly enough glue -- make sure you have lots of strong wood glue handy when you try to assemble it. Also, the assembly was a bit frustrating since pieces would pop off when trying to attach the other sides. Overall, though, it was okay & the rockers seem comfortable & sturdy.
