I planned on using this on my patio. The rocking chair needs a smooth surface and my bricks made it an uneven ride. The drilled holes did not fit the seat that needs attaching to the under bar of wood. We could nor drill additional holes because the wood to be attached has a metal screw going through the end piece. As a result, the seat is moving around and does not feel safe. Also, no instructions were sent with the chair.If yours comes with the proper alignment of holes, it is a pretty chair. Good luck!

This rocker is very unique and looks fabulous on my front porch. I recently painted my door black and it has enhanced the classic look wonderfully. The biggest problem was that the rocker holes were not alligned correctly to get the post in. We had to have someone come in to drill the whole wider and then pure glue in to cover the extra space that was left. I guess this tells how much I loved its look to go through all of this to get it properly fitted.

Very nice looking when assembled. When putting together make sure the arm where it attaches to the back is not tight this allows for ease of putting rockers on, after rockers are installed tighten the arm screws. other than that trick was not difficult to put together. The only disappointment was that the entire seat assembly attaches to 2... 1/2" dowels i do find this design a bit bothering , would be much better if it was supported by the dowels and the back and front vertical supports. The chair is very heavy and very well built with good wood,very stocky but nice to see these days with so many things built with cheep wood and finishes. Overall very pleased with a sturdy chair that looks good and will stand the test of time.

The assembly directions were terrible, and even if they had been better, the assembly is very difficult and non-carpenters should not be expected to put this thing together. It was ridiculous!

Two holes were offline. Had to drill two new holes to assemble. Chair was OK once I got it assembled. Finish was good, but chair not that comfortable.
