Care

General Care & Maintenance:

  • Never use cleansers, abrasive cleaners, or bleach products to clean any portion of your furniture, including frames, glass, and seating material.
  • Clean and dry thoroughly before storing for the winter. Always drain any water that may have accumulated inside the frames.
  • Protect you furniture with commercially available outdoor furniture covers when not in use. If your furniture is being used in areas of intense sun exposure or hot temperatures, heavy pollution, or where birds and trees are plentiful, covering your furniture is especially recommended.

Warning: When using an umbrella with a dining table, always use a sturdy, heavy umbrella base. Always remove the umbrella from the table when not in use. Never open the umbrella in windy conditions.

Care & Maintenance/Cast Aluminum/Aluminum Frames:

  • For regular cleaning: Clean with mild soap and water and a sponge or soft cloth.
  • To restore luster on finish: Use a clear liquid automotive wax to protect and to restore luster on the finish. This is recommended at least once a year.
  • If covering nicks and scratches: Rub lightly with fine steel wool for better paint adhesion. Wipe clean. When using touch-up paint, shake well and use thin coats. Let paint dry between coats.

The gentle glide is smooth and without any squeaking because of what appears to be a ball bearing type of glider rod. I would doubt that even after outdoor exposure that would become a problem. The back is high enough and has a curve to comfortably support the head should you want to rest. The seat had plenty of depth and width for 2 people to enjoy sitting next to each other without being on top of each other

My kids really wanted a glider so I bought this one. It is so dark brown that it's almost black. The first day I had it, it tipped over in the wind, but hasn't since. At least it wasn't damaged in the fall.

    We love the glider. Our only issue is that the screws from seat to frame are difficult to put in--it could not be done with the allen/hex key that they provided as an angle was required; we had to use our own hex key with a ball that allowed for angling and it solved the problem. presto! beautiful glider. it is soundless, soothing, and so beautiful. we get the added bonus of privacy from neighbors due to the high back. thanks so much!! we just discovered your site. also, please note everyone that this arrived so fast, it was amazing!

      I love this glider! It looks great on my deck and I enjoy sitting in it to read. It was easy to put together but I had a hard time with one bolt. I finally got it in but had to really work at it. It also has blown over several times since I put it outside but now I have it sitting against the house until I go outside to use it. I will have to think about a way to keep it upright in the wind. I do love how it looks and am very pleased with my selection. I'm glad I bought this style.
